Calling All Art Lovers!
The Windemere Art Gallery opened its doors in 2002 within a two-story farmhouse-style structure on Mechanicsville Turnpike. The Civil War-era building is owned by one of the resident artists, Robert
Duggan.
The gallery sits amid a five-acre oasis and is a perfect setting for inspirational creations of art. The interior of the gallery spans two floors and many rooms filled with works by accomplished local and state artists representing a litany of genres.
The gallery is under the auspices of the Lee Artists Association (LAA). According
to Teressa Pearson, President of the LAA, “Many well-known talented artists are associated with LAA. It is our privilege to encourage all artists to do their hearts’ desire in art with us. We feature artists on a regular basis.”

For November, the feature artist will be well-known Virginia Wildlife Magazine
illustrator/writer Spike Knuth. An open reception will be held for Mr. Knuth November 14th, 2pm-5pm. Mr. Knuth’s work will be on display November
1 through November 28.
Windemere Art Gallery is open Monday-Saturday, 12pm-4pm, and Sundays
by appointment. Art classes are available in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastels,
air brush, and scratchboard. Call 730-0384 for class information or go to www.teressapearson.com. |
